SMART FAÇADES FOR ENERGY-EFFICIENT BUILDINGS!

The integration of hybrid solar components into building façades transforms vertical surfaces into active systems to produce electricity and heat. Developed within the scope of the CPVH Project, this solution optimises the use of urban space and strengthens buildings’ energy autonomy.

The technology combines holographic lenses, solar concentrators, high-efficiency photovoltaic cells and innovative thermal collectors, ensuring seamless architectural integration and the simultaneous generation of electricity and heat.

But what is the real impact of this solution? By interconnecting the photovoltaic, thermal and storage subsystems with the Internet of Energy (IoE), the system enables real-time monitoring and intelligent energy management, supports the development of local energy communities and reduces dependence on large-scale solar power plants.

With an efficient design and advanced technology, CPVH contributes to reducing the environmental footprint and transforms façades into active elements for the urban energy transition.

This Project is supported by COMPETE 2030, Portugal 2030, and by the European Union.
